FM Group
A journey of growth, experience, and specialization. The history and identity of our group, through its most significant milestones.
Over 45 years of excellence in fasteners
Founded in 1978 in Bagnolo in Piano (Reggio Emilia), FM (Fantini–Manfredini) was born from the initiative of Graziano Fantini who, as a hardware store clerk, decided to found a new company together with his father and the Manfredini brothers.
What began as a determined venture quickly transformed into a company specializing in a single key product: fasteners. Thanks to a vision focused on agricultural and industrial mechanics—vital sectors for the Emilia region—FM has succeeded, in just a few years, in establishing itself as a recognized specialist in the field.

Territorial growth and widespread presence
Over the years, FM has built a solid logistics and sales network throughout Italy, aiming to ensure greater operational efficiency and customer proximity.
n 1993, the first branch was opened in Modena, a strategic hub for logistics and the first introduction of the Kanban service. In 1995, Milan was opened, marking the company's entry into the Lombardy markets and the consolidation of its network in Northern Italy. Expansion continued in 2018 with the acquisition of a branch in Vicenza, strengthening its presence in the Triveneto region. 2025 began with the opening of a new branch in Udine, focused on fasteners, tools, PPE, and technical items, to further improve coverage of the Northeast.
Over time, the company's mission has evolved, favoring a comprehensive consultancy service to the end user thanks to advanced logistics solutions of Kanban systems such as the Clever Box.
The latter uses intelligent weight sensors for automatic inventory monitoring, offering real-time supply control. The company thus guarantees comprehensive consultancy, aimed at solving every technical need with efficiency, quality, and speed.

Group development and growth
In parallel with internal growth, FM has accelerated its development through acquisitions and strategic participations, expanding its product range and strengthening its specialization in vertical sectors.

In 1995, FM joined the MC Bolt group, along with BPC. Headquartered in the province of Caserta, MC Bolt became a leading supplier in Central and Southern Italy. This integration allowed FM to distinguish itself in structural bolts (EN 15048 certified) and galvanic treatments, particularly hot-dip galvanizing, serving key sectors such as telecommunications, railways, and infrastructure.
In 2010, a partnership was signed with Speed Bolt, a company specializing in set screws and plugs, with distribution oriented 60% to the European market and 40% to the domestic market. That same year, the arrival of Massimiliano Fantini, the founder's son, at Speed Bolt brought a new impetus to technological innovation and corporate communication.
In 2019, the group further expanded with the acquisition of Nuova Bullvit Estense, a Ferrara-based company specializing in hydraulic and pneumatic fittings, thus enriching its technical offering with highly specialized products.
In 2021, Massimiliano Fantini took over as sales manager within the FM Metal Fasteners Group, contributing to the group's expansion into European markets and guiding its commercial growth strategy.
We started simply because we wanted to do something. There were no precise plans or sophisticated strategies: there was only the urgency to get involved, to build something with our own hands and our own minds. Everything that came after was the natural result of that genuine desire to improve ourselves.
